Emergency calls: Deafness Forum / ACCAN need your help!

For people who are Deaf, hearing-impaired or speech-impaired and have trouble hearing or speaking on the phone, access to emergency calls from mobile phones is difficult or impossible.

Deafness Forum is working with the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) and other consumer and disability groups to receive case studies from people in the community about this issue. Deafness Forum and ACCAN want to convince the government to provide services so everyone can make emergency calls from mobile phones.
