Tasdeaf is a non-profit charity organisation that gratefully accepts financial support from individuals and businesses in the community.
1 in 6 people in Australia live with a form of hearing loss and this is expected to rise to 1 in 4 by 2030.
Hearing loss is invisible, so the needs of deaf people are often overlooked or misunderstood. Hearing loss can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life, and it can also lead to educational, social and vocational disadvantage.
Tasdeaf works towards minimising the impacts of hearing loss on individuals and families across Tasmania to ensure that all people with a hearing loss can take part in community life and can achieve their goals.
