The City of Hobart recently received funding from Arts Tasmania to engage 3 arts practitioners to work alongside Ability to Create artists and organisations to co-create infrastructure and artworks for this exhibition, which is all about exploring the senses.
Ability to Create (ATC) started in 2014 with an eclectic exhibition of art pieces made by clients of local disability organisations. The project has evolved considerably since then, with greater collaboration with all ability artists and relevant support organisations.
Due to the success of this annual program, it has moved to the exhibition to City Hall, a larger venue, to accommodate all the artists and their diverse art forms and performances and to provide greater accessibility.
Ability to Create is looking for 3 arts practitioners with skills in either:
- sound design
- digital content
- or sculptural installation/set/theatre design.
This may include a hybrid of these above disciplines. The selected artists will work with Ability to Create artists and organisations to co-create infrastructure and artworks for the launch of Ability to Create 2022 NEXT LEVEL - A Sensory Exhibition.
