An exciting music performance 'Stranger Than Usual' is coming to Midsumma Festival!
This event is performed by Asphyxia with a live band featuring Sarah Ward, Bec Matthews and Erica. The performance will be focusing on Asphyxia's experience as a person who is Deaf, queer, chronically ill and needing to use a wheelchair.
The performance will be presented in Auslan and English. It is also an opportunity to explore how music can be accessible for Deaf and hard of hearing people. Hearing people are also welcomed as they will have an opportunity to find out how Deaf and hard of hearing people experience music.
