New partnership announcement between Access Plus WA Deaf and Expression Australia!
Access Plus WA Deaf and Expression Australia are proud to announce our new partnership. Our aim is to work more closely together to maintain your choices and strengthen our commitment and our support to you. Our community remains our key priority.
Access Plus and Expression Australia recognise the need to share resources and experience without the need for competition. Both organisations put you, our community front and centre in all our decisions. We believe grass root involvement within our states is a priority and a need to collaborate on future National opportunities as they arise.
Together, Access Plus and Expression Australia have a combined history of over 200 years of building Australia’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. This partnership is a natural next step for the Board and CEO’s of both organisations.
We have all faced challenges with the introduction of the NDIS. We have all been touched by COVID. Together we remained committed to supporting you through these times of change and we will continue to do so with our shared experience, ensuring we gain your input for the future
CEO of Access Plus WA Deaf, Rebecca Adam
“Taking this modest step, we believe we can make positive change, by creating opportunities through this partnership for all Australians to be part of our Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, without diminishing what we have both built.”
CEO of Expression Australia, Nicky Long
"We have enjoyed an informal partnership with Access Plus over the last few years. We have shared visions of ensuring all our decisions and activities are community centred and have enjoyed working on strategies with people who are passionate about local matters. Both organisations approach our work with heart and respect to the long-term, local structures in place."
Access Plus and Expression Australia are committed to providing you, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community the greatest impact through our energized and progressive partnership. We will be sharing our resources and experience across both organisations. Working together we will look to secure more grant opportunities. We will combine both our community consultations and our interpreting workforce as a key priority for you, our community.
Access Plus and Expression Australia’s new partnership will accelerate growth and provide the building blocks for a more empowered community. We invite you all to learn more and to be involved.
